As a preliminary information form and distance sales agreement, this document governs the details of the vehicle rental reservation made by the Renter through our website and the parties' rights and obligations. Please read it carefully before completing your reservation.

1. Parties

Renter (Buyer): The natural or legal person who supplies their name, contact and driver details during reservation and confirms the reservation. The Renter is responsible for the accuracy of the information supplied.

Rental Provider (Seller) details:

  • Business name: Carmio Rent A Car
  • Address: NO:62, Nicosia 1065, Northern Cyprus
  • Telephone: 0533 882 01 45
  • Email: destek@carmio.com
  • Trade registration number: [To be completed]
  • Tax office and number: [To be completed]

2. Subject of the Agreement

This agreement sets out the conditions for renting the vehicle selected by the Renter through the website, at the dates, times and pickup locations specified in the reservation, together with the selected protection package and additional services.

The vehicle rental agreement signed separately at pickup forms an integral part of this agreement. In the event of a conflict between the two documents, the vehicle-specific provisions of the rental agreement signed at pickup apply.

3. Main Features and Price of the Service

The rented vehicle group, rental period, pickup and return locations, selected protection package, additional services and total price including taxes appear in the reservation summary and the confirmation sent to the Renter.

Vehicles are rented by group. An equivalent vehicle in the same group may be supplied instead of the model shown.

4. Driver Requirements

The driver must meet the minimum age and driving licence duration requirements for the vehicle group. These requirements are stated on the vehicle details and Rental Terms pages.

5. Payment and Deposit

The rental price is paid by credit or debit card during reservation. Card details are processed by the payment provider and are not stored in the Rental Provider's systems.

At pickup, a temporary security deposit determined by vehicle group is held on a credit card in the Renter's name. The hold is released after the vehicle is returned in accordance with the contract; depending on the bank, this may take a few business days to appear on the card.

6. Vehicle Pickup and Return

The vehicle is handed over at the date, time and location in the reservation when the Renter presents a valid driving licence, identity document and credit card in their name. If these documents cannot be presented, the vehicle is not handed over and the no-show provisions in the Cancellation and Refund Terms apply.

The vehicle must be returned to the specified location clean, undamaged and with the same fuel level as at pickup. Costs such as late return, missing fuel, damage and traffic fines are charged to the Renter under the rental agreement.

7. Renter's Obligations

  • Meet the minimum age and driving licence duration requirements for the vehicle group
  • Ensure that only drivers named in the contract use the vehicle
  • Comply with traffic rules and applicable legislation
  • Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or use the vehicle for freight or passenger transport
  • Notify the Rental Provider immediately, and the police where necessary, in the event of an accident, damage or breakdown
  • Do not take the vehicle to Southern Cyprus without the Rental Provider's written permission

8. Right of Withdrawal and Cancellation

Vehicle rental is a service performed on specific dates and during a specific period. Accordingly, to the extent permitted by applicable legislation, the Cancellation and Refund Terms published on the website apply instead of a general right of withdrawal.

The Renter may cancel within the periods stated in the Cancellation and Refund Terms. The refund is calculated under those terms and returned to the card used for payment.

9. Rental Provider's Obligations

The Rental Provider must deliver the vehicle at the date and location specified in the reservation, maintained, with legally required insurance and ready for use.

In circumstances such as force majeure or the vehicle becoming unusable, the Rental Provider offers an equivalent vehicle in the same or a higher group. If this is not possible, the full amount paid is refunded.

10. Personal Data

The Renter's personal data is processed for the purposes explained in the Personal Data Protection Notice and in accordance with applicable personal data protection legislation.

11. Dispute Resolution

You may submit requests and complaints by calling 0533 882 01 45 or emailing destek@carmio.com. The laws of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus apply to disputes arising from this agreement; TRNC courts and consumer arbitration boards have jurisdiction.

12. Entry into Force

The Renter electronically confirms during reservation that they have read and accepted this document. The agreement enters into force when the reservation is confirmed and is sent to the Renter in the confirmation email.
